THE FIVE BOOKS

Spiritually Awakened Communion

Book Four:
Hridaya Rosary (Four Thorns Of Heart-Instruction)
The "Late-Time" Avataric Revelation Of The Universally Tangible Divine Spiritual Body, Which Is The Supreme Agent Of The Great Means To Worship and To Realize The True and Spiritual Divine Person (The egoless Personal Presence Of Reality and Truth, Which Is The Only Real God)

Hridaya Rosary—meaning "The Rose Garden of the Heart"—is Avatar Adi Da's remarkably ecstatic proclamation of the process by which His devotees become Spiritually Infused by Him (once they have been Spiritually Initiated by Him into the primary practice of searchlessly Beholding Him).

In breathtakingly beautiful poetry, He Communicates the practice of opening Upward to His Spiritual Infusion, such that one becomes capable of being utterly In-Filled by His downward-Flowing tangible Baptism of Divine Spiritual Grace. That psycho-physical "pose" of Upward openness is "Samraj Asana", the "asana" ("pose") of receptivity to Avatar Adi Da Samraj.

Avatar Adi Da describes this entire process of opening and reception as "Melting". Such "Melting" of the entire being—of the four faculties of heart, mind, body, and breath—is Spiritually Awakened (and, necessarily, profoundly ego-surrendering) heart-Communion with Him. And such "Melting" eventually culminates in the full Samadhi of the "Thumbs".

In Hridaya Rosary, Avatar Adi Da also Reveals many esoteric secrets about the total structure of the human being, of which the physical body is only one (and the "lowest", or "underground") part. Paradoxically, the process of "Melting Down" is what allows the practitioner of Adidam to break through the "underground" world of ordinary existence, and consciously live "above ground" (in the world of Spiritual Reality).

No message of Liberation has ever been so direct. All stories and traditions of the God-Man pale before the intensely loving and heart-stirring Cry of Avatar Adi Da to simply melt into the Ocean of Divine Love-Bliss that He Is.

You Must Be Open Up to Me

From "I Can Always Be Experienced
in the Manner of My Tangible Touch"

AVATAR ADI DA SAMRAJ:

You must be open Up,
Up to Me—
for I Am Infinitely Above
your head.
You must be open Up to Me,
like a waiting cup of love,
and allow the all
that is between Me and below,
to Melt down
in My Force,
Fire,
Love-Bliss-Presence,
"Bright".
By this Melting,
I am permitted to Descend
into your selfless body-mind.

The head and heart,
the body,
the whole breathing form
experience My Transmission
by Descent,
felt in every kind of manner
in the body-mind . . .

The love-to-Me gestures made to Me,
made by any of-Me devotee
in a here-below body
of life,
flash to Me
at a Great Height,
and,
with barely a Glance,
My Signal of Love-Bliss
Returns to the love-of-Love receiver.
And,
in each case,
I Am felt, experienced,
directly Overhead,
Above the body-mind
that tracks to Me
with every faculty.

This is how you Find Me,
if you love Me.

The Human Life-Form Is Structured
To Reach To Beyond

From "The Tree of Light Is Above the Head,
and I Shine Forever In The Sky Beyond It"

AVATAR ADI DA SAMRAJ: In one of the chapters of the Bhagavad Gita, reference is made to a tree that grows upside down, with its roots above and its branches below. This is intended to be a metaphorical description of the human body, the human structure. (Generally speaking, in the religious and Spiritual traditions, when language about trees is used metaphorically, or when trees appear in instructive stories, reference is being made to the human body and its central current of life-force.) But perhaps the upside-down tree in the Bhagavad Gita is not entirely correct as a symbolic description of the human structure. Perhaps the human body is not a tree that grows upside down but a tree that grows in the same manner as every other tree! This would mean that, if the root ball of the tree is the human brain, the rest of the tree—the trunk, the branches, the leaves, the flowers and fruits and seeds, and so forth—is above ground (or above the head), not below it. Yes. The gross physical human form is underground (or below the crown of the head), and the larger, generally invisible (or non-gross-physical, or subtle) dimension of the human structure is above ground (or above the crown of the head).

Therefore, the gross physical human body is "below-ground" business. The root ball is the brain, and what is below the brain is a mass of rootlets—in other words, the nervous system, which moves the gross (or elemental) dimension of the human life-form. When the human structure is viewed as a whole, taking into account all of its dimensions (and not solely the physical dimension), the reach of the human life-form is seen to be above ground, above the head. The human life-form is structured to reach to Beyond. The gesture of flowering, of reaching, of growing, is above ground, above the head—whereas all your gross physical diddling with the human body-mind is a preoccupation below ground.

To be only below ground is to fail to flower. It is to fail to participate in the real process of the human life-form. It is to be stuck below ground. It is to have no reach above ground, no participation in Sun-Light. . . .

It is not that the gross physical body is to be disregarded, but you must understand its conditional and programmed nature and release it into its Depth, its Centrality, into That Which Is Prior, into That Which Is Above—not by attempting to separate yourself from the physical dimension of existence, but by opening that dimension to Me, such that you are (more and more profoundly) continuous with What is above ground, with What Is Beyond, and with What is at Depth in the heart-Root.

My Gift Of The "Thumbs" Is What Enables You
To Realize The Consciousness-Position

From "The 'Thumbs' Is The Fundamental Sign
Of The Avataric Crashing-Down Of My Divine Person"

The culmination of the "Melting" process that Avatar Adi Da describes in Hridaya Rosary is the experience (and then the Samadhi) of the "Thumbs". This unique Spiritual Gift from Avatar Adi Da is what makes possible the transition to the ultimate Yoga of the Way of Adidam—the "Perfect Practice", or practice in the domain of Consciousness Itself.

[The Experience Of The "Thumbs"] Feels Like A Solid and Yet Fluid Mass Of Force, Like A Large Hand All Made Of Thumbs—Pressing Down From Infinitely Above the head and Via The Crown Of the head, Engorging the Total head (and the throat), and (Thus and Thereby) Penetrating and Vanishing the entire mind, and Vastly Opening the emotional core, and (Altogether) In-Filling the Total physical body.

The Feeling-Sense That Results From This Simple (and Most Basic) Frontal In-Filling By My Avatarically Self-Revealed Divine Spirit-Presence Is That the Total body-mind Is Sublimed and Released Into ego-Surrendering, ego-Forgetting, and ego-Transcending Feeling-Identification With The Spherical Form Of My Own Divine and Spiritual (and all-and-All-Surrounding, and all-and-All-Pervading) Love-Bliss-Body Of Indefinable Spiritual "Brightness" (or Indestructible Light). . . .

It Is My Avataric Divine Spiritual Gift Of The Samadhi Of The "Thumbs" (and My Avataric Divine Spiritual Gift Of The Experience Of The "Thumbs" In Its Simple and Most Basic Form), and Not Merely mental "Consideration" Of My Arguments Relative To The Witness-Consciousness, That Is The Divine Yogic Secret Of The Realization Of The Consciousness-Position (Which Realization Is The Basis For The "Perfect Practice" Of The Way Of The Heart). Therefore, Even Though My Arguments Relative To The Witness-Consciousness Are An Essential Guide To Right Understanding Of The "Perfect Practice" . . . , The "Consideration" Of Those Arguments Is Not Itself The Direct and Finally Effective Means Whereby The "Perfect Practice" Is Initiated and Really Practiced.

The Transition To The "Perfect Practice" Of The Way Of The Heart Is Necessarily A By-Me-Given Yogic and Spiritual Process, and The Samadhi Of The "Thumbs" (and The, Essentially, Constant Experience Of The "Thumbs" In Its Simple and Most Basic Form) Is The Necessary (and Me-Revealing) Basis Of That Transition. By Means Of The Re-Phasing (Characteristic Of The "Thumbs") Of The Entire Sense Of The "Energy"-Construct Of phenomenal experience, It Is (In Due Course, By My Avatarically Self-Transmitted Divine Spiritual Grace) Revealed As Self-Evidently The Case That The Real Position (or Very Situation) Of experience Is The Witness-Position Of Consciousness (Itself)—That The Very Base Of experience Is Consciousness (Itself).
