Process of Adidam:
Practice in the Domain of Consciousness Itself
Book Fifteen: The Lion Sutra The "Perfect Practice" Teachings In The Divine Way Of Adidam
The Lion Sutra is Avatar Adi Da's comprehensive Text on the ultimate process of the Way of Adidam, which He calls the "Perfect Practice". The "Lion" is Avatar Adi Da Himself, magnificently "Roaring" His Call to renounce all forms of egoity—gross, subtle, and causal—in Perfect Contemplation of His "Bright" Form and Presence and State. The "sutras" of India are (literally) "strings" of aphoristic Wisdom-sayings. The verses of Avatar Adi Da's Lion Sutra are concentrated summaries of His Ultimate Teaching-Word, strung like jewels on the thread of His Argument.
The "Perfect Practice" of Adidam occurs in the Domain of Consciousness Itself—a Realm Prior to everything we normally associate with the idea of "me". Thus, the "Perfect Practice" is not something that can be "achieved" by an apparent individual. It can only be entered into by fulfilling the foundation practice and the Spiritually Awakened practice of the Way of Adidam and, on that basis, receiving Avatar Adi Da's Divine Spirit-Transmission so profoundly that one is Gracefully "Pulled" Beyond the entire realm of "I"-and-"other"—into His boundlessly Love-Blissful Domain of Conscious Light.
As a historian of Asian religions, I find that The Lion Sutra is unique . . . a fearless roar of divine possibility in human dimensions, and a whispered word of love . . . from a God-human to those graced and called to deeper commitment. . . .
Its message spirals toward a devotional union with a perfected teacher whose God-consciousness is expressed without reservation or disguise. . . .
It is a call to perfect peace, perfect freedom and perfect consciousness. It is a lofty vision of spiritual possibility. ...

Be Un-Born In Me
Realize Self-Evidently Divine Happiness Itself
There Is Not Any "Personal Identity", but Always Only the Ultimate Identity
Be Un-Born In Me
Verses 97-102 of "The Lion Sutra"
Mine Is the Eternal Hermitage of no-attention, "Where" Even time and space Are Watered To the Nub, and I Am Always Shining "There", With a Perfect Word In My Heart.
Come "There", My Beloved (every one), Come Listen and Hear and See My Heart, and Prepare To Delight In a Feast of Calms, With the Dawn of "Brightness" On Your face.
Then Listen Deep In My Heart Itself, and Call Me "There" (By Name), and Hear My Word of Silence "There", and See Me "Where" You Stand.
Therefore, Be Un-Born In Me, and Feel Awake In My Free Fire, and, By Most Feeling Contemplation of My Sign, Fulfill the "Brightest" Blessing of My (Forever) Silence Kept.
Henceforth, My Beloved (every one), My Silent Sign, My Own Free Names, and All My Gathered Words Must Teach You, one and all—and I Am Only Standing Free, To Spirit-Bless You (all, and All).
Therefore, Practice Adidam (the Way of the Heart, Revealed and Given Only-By-Me)—Until You Are, By the Heart's Progress, Most Perfectly Prepared For Me.

Realize Self-Evidently Divine Happiness Itself
Verses 122-133 of "The Lion Sutra"
Until Self-Evidently Divine Happiness Itself Is (By Means of My Avatarically Self-Transmitted Divine Spiritual Grace) Revealed At the Heart (and, Most Ultimately, As the Heart Itself), every conditionally Manifested being Is Constantly Seeking Happiness (Even every "where", inside and outside the Heart).
Therefore, You (As the ego-"I" of self-Contracted body-mind) are Constantly Seeking Happiness.
And Even though You are Constantly Seeking Happiness, Self-Evidently Divine Happiness Itself Is Always Already The Case.
Only (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself Is Free of the Necessity (and the wanting need) to Seek Happiness.
If Only (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself is Chosen, Soon all else is Forgotten.
Therefore, Be Exclusively and (Soon) Perfectly Devoted To (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself—By Means of the ego-Surrendering, ego-Forgetting, and (More and More) ego-Transcending Exercise of all four faculties (or the principal functions) of the body-mind, In True, and (Soon) Truly Searchless, and (In Due Course) Perfect Devotion To Me.
Do This By (More and More Effectively) Renouncing (or Really Transcending) every "thing" (or all objects, all experience, all knowledge, all relations, and all others), or all that is Not (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself.
In every moment of the Exercise of Whole bodily (or Total psycho-physical) Devotion To Me, "Locate" (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself, Realize (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself, and Be (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself.
Ultimately, You Will "Locate" (and Realize, and Be) Self-Evidently Divine Happiness Itself, By Means of My Avatarically Self-Transmitted Spirit-Current of Self-Evidently Divine Love-Bliss—Thus and Thereby Feeling the Inherent (or In-Place) Feeling In Which all other feelings, thoughts, perceptions, and sensations are (apparently) arising.
Realization of Real God, or Truth, or Reality Itself Is Liberation from the bondage of "Narcissus" (or the separate and separative ego-"I").
Realization of (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness (or the By-Me Avatarically Self-Transmitted Spirit-Current of Self-Evidently Divine Love-Bliss) Is (Itself) Realization of Real God, or Truth, or Reality Itself.
Therefore, Realize (Self-Evidently Divine) Happiness Itself—By Realizing Me.

There Is Not Any "Personal Identity", but Always Only the Ultimate Identity
Verses 506-536 of "The Lion Sutra"
No "object" is Worthy of wanting need. No Search is Fruitful. No pain is Necessary. No "other" is Worthy of futile seeking-desire and inevitable emptiness. Neither attachment Nor avoidance is Right. No sorrow is Necessary. No "thing" is More Than Wonderful. Neither bewilderment Nor knowledge is Free. Fear itself is Ultimate pain, but it is Utterly Un-Necessary. Seeking and attaining are (Inevitably) a Total loss, and loss itself is the Only Constant Discovery in every gain.
Seeking by desiring is (itself), even previous to either gain or loss, an empty hole of unending darkness (self-Contracted from the One and Only "All" of the Unbroken and Indivisible Divine Conscious Light), but seeking-desire is an Illusion of Filling (and only a Search for possible Fullness), because it is "Filled" only with mind (and mind Cannot Be Truly Filled, because it is always "Full" of itself (and the Self-Evidently Divine Fullness That Truly, and Even Always Already, Fills all-and-All Is "Outside", or Perfectly Beyond, the Presumed "center" and the Presumed "bounds" of every one and every "thing").
The knowledge of bewilderment (and Not any Filling-"object" or Filling-"other") is the only "thing" in mind.
The world of "objects", or "others", or "things" Already (in any moment) bites, and it Always bites back.
Therefore, Listen To Me (Perfectly), and Hear Me (Perfectly), and See Me (Perfectly), and Stand Back In Me (the Only One "Who" Is), and Feel Me (the Only "What" and "Where" of Is).
To Seek "objects" (and Not To Understand that All Seeking is Moved by pain) is pain itself, and bewilderment.
To desire "others" or to avoid them (and Not To Understand that desire and avoidance are Made of sorrow) is sorrow itself, and dark emptiness.
To Wonder and to know "things" (and Not To Understand that knowledge is Never Satisfied) is the Essence of fear itself.
The "personal identity", the ego-"I", or the separate, darkly empty, painful, and psycho-physically self-Contracted body-mind is Always an Illusion, an Un-Recognized Reflection of Consciousness (or Feeling-Awareness) Itself—a Mirage of need, searchfull desirability, and Wonder, Superimposed On Consciousness (or Feeling-Awareness) Itself by the apparent (and Un-Necessary) flow of events that (in themselves) are (it Seems) Not Consciousness.
There is Not (now, or Ever) any "personal identity" (or separate entity of ego-"I"), but Always Only the Ultimate (and Self-Evidently Divine) Identity, or Non-Separate (and Inherently egoless) Conscious Light Itself, Always Already Free, One, Indivisible, Whole, Full, and All Love-Bliss-"Bright". . . .
The Heart Is My Eternal Hermitage, "Where" (Even Now) the inherently dualistic (or All-the-"Difference"-Making) feeling of relatedness Is Inherently (Tacitly, and Effortlessly) Transcended In the Inherently Non-Dualistic (or Inherently Non-"Different", and Tacitly Indifferent) Feeling of Mere Being (Itself).
Therefore, My Eternal "Blessing-Seat" Is the Heart Itself—Which Is the One and Only and Inherently Indivisible Conscious Light (Itself).
Beloved, I Am Da—the Divine Giver, the Divine Gift, the Divine Person (Who Is the Heart Itself), the Divine Self-Condition (What Is the One and Only and Inherently Indivisible Conscious Light, Itself), the Self-"Bright" Divine Source-Condition (of all-and-All), and the Centerless and Boundless Spherical "Bright" Divine Self-Domain ("Where" I Always Already Stand, As the Very, and Inherently Perfect, Self-Condition, or Indivisible Divine Person, of all-and-All).
