The Unfolding Process

Spiritual Initiation by Avatar Adi Da into the practice of searchlessly Beholding Him is the beginning of the great course of the Way of Adidam. That course is the constantly deepening and maturing devotional and Spiritual relationship to Avatar Adi Da, progressing through a defined series of stages. In each of these stages, Avatar Adi Da Gives you precise Instruction particular to that stage. And the core of the entire ongoing process is your returning for further periods of retreat in His physical Company as often as possible (and, specifically, at certain points in the Spiritual process when you are prepared for transition to a more advanced stage).

The ongoing devotional and Spiritual relationship to Avatar Adi Da is what He calls the "culture of access". By this He means that everyone who has been Spiritually Initiated by Him has constant devotional and Spiritual access to Him—both through periods of retreat in His physical Company and through all the meditative and devotional practices and all the forms of discipline that He has Given.

At a certain point, the Gift of receiving Avatar Adi Da Spiritually takes the form of a unique Samadhi—the Samadhi of the "Thumbs". This Spiritual Gift from Ruchira Avatar Adi Da "opens a door" to the ultimate stages of Adidam (known as the "Perfect Practice"). In the "Perfect Practice", you are no longer identified with your ego–"self"—either as body or as mind or as psyche or as any form of mystical "I". Rather, you are spontaneously and inherently identified with Avatar Adi Da’s Divine Self–Condition of Consciousness Itself. Ultimately, you are Drawn by Him into the absolute and permanent Realization of the "Bright" Itself—utterly non–"different" from Him, all vestiges of ego utterly dissolved, enjoying the Eternal Love–Bliss of His "Bright" Divine Self–Domain. Such is Avatar Adi Da’s Supreme Divine Gift—the Gift of Most Perfect Divine Enlightenment.
